MocoSpace.com is a social networking site which also provides you to purchase featured mobile content with their Gold currency. The site provides a great opportunity for its registered users to meet people online. It has features wherein you can add as many friends as you want. Aside from adding friends from your email’s database to join the site, you can also add friends near you who are members of MocoSpace. You can find friends who are online and instantly chat with them. You can view their profiles and send them messages as well. You also join a particular room to chat with members. The site also allows you to send text messages from your phone to MocoSpace free of charge. Aside from being a social networking site and dating site, MocoSpace also allows you to download mobile contents like ringtones, videos and photos to personalize your mobile phone. The site promises to be compatible with most phones carried by the following telcos in the US: Alltel, AT&T, Boost, Cell South, Cincinnati Bell, Cellular One Dobson, Nextel, RCC, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon, Virgin USA. |

| Feedback: | Surprisingly MocoSpace.com has been receiving quite a bit of negative feedback from its members not because of its mobile content but because of two things. First, other members who are creepy and potential stalkers, those who have nothing to do but destroy a person’s day. Second, the members are turned off by the way the management handles these stalkers. How do they handle them? They don’t at all.
As a social networking site, MocoSpace has created Pandora’s box. Both good things and bad things emerged from the box. Sad thing to note though is that the management should have controlled this. I have read a couple of forums in which a user is truly being terrorized by another user. Although the site does not have full control over what people say in their forums and blogs, but they should have an overseeing eye to check out those lunatics who destroy the reputation of their site. As a mobile content provider, MocoSpace provides a good amount of downloadable content. It has cool ringtones, videos and photos. Once you register, you will be prompted to by an ad for a lottery draw and a $9.99/month subscription to get the latest ringtones and other mobile content online. All in all, this site is better as a social networking site rather than a mobile content provider. |
