Tonsillitis Gets Glee Production Halted

According to Entertainment Weekly there has been an outbreak of tonsillitis among Glee cast members. This has stopped taping of Glee Season 2. Production will continue on Monday. The cast of Glee will not be active this weekend, the production last Friday was stopped because of tonsillitis among cast members. They have been working on an episode for February Super Bowl. Entertainment Weekly did not disclose which stars have tonsillitis but Diana Agron was able to blog about her being in bed all day because of a certain illness.

The Super Bowl episode this coming February will feature a game-changing smash “Thriller”. They will mash it up with another hit which is not yet revealed. You will also get to hear songs from Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry and Lady Antebellum. These McKinley High School kids will put their own twist to the songs of these world-renowned artists.

Rachel Berry , played by Michele revealed that her dream guest will be there in their Super Bowl episode: Justin Timberlake. She said to the Hollywood Reporter “I think they are saving Justin Timberlake for the Super Bowl episode, they have to be, because he is so perfect for our show. He has to be on it! When I met Jessica Biel, like a loser, I asked her to tell Justin to come on our show. [Laughs.] She was a little taken aback and said, ‘Um, OK. I’ll tell him.’ ”

Glee is not to be stricken by a common tonsillitis but will be up on production by Monday. The Super Bowl episode’s event has “Thriller” to step up the game of the episode. With the passing of Michael Jackson, he has been remembered and honored by so many artists worldwide. This time, Glee takes part in honoring the artist people all over the world loved for so many years.

The original Michael Jackson version of the Thriller was a 14 minute music video from the same titled album which was released December 2, 1983. The music video was directed by John Ladis who also co-wrote the screenplay. The song and the video has been said to be the greatest music video of all time. It has influenced the pop culture and has spread the Thriller virus for proceeding centuries. In fact, it was even listed in Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful music video way back in 2006, over two centuries after the first release of the video. As a most successful music video it has sold over 9 million in the history of music.

Will Glee be able to muster all the courage and get to match the success of Michael Jackson’s Thriller? Will they give justice to the song? If so, they will put another song in the Hot 100 chart. Come this February episode of Glee’s Super Bowl special. The tonsillitis is a minor setback and Glee will soon be back on the track.
