2510 People Like Ringtones on Facebook

There are about millions and millions of people who use Facebook and about 2510 people like ringtones. Is this a bad number? Probably other people are just preoccupied by adding friends and playing games on Facebook. Twenty-five hundred people is not bad for those who are addicted to changing their ringtones on a regular basis.

There are also a lot of people uploading videos on YouTube regarding ringtones. Those who have more than a million hits are the videos which feature ringtones, how to make them or how to get them. This proves to say that a lot of people expect to get ringtones.

Ringtone popularity started way back when we had the Nokia 5110. When the Nokia 321o was released, innovations in the ringtone industry boomed especially with the polyphonic ringtones. Up to today, people still follow innovations in ringtones. We even now have ringbacks. A ringback is a tune that the caller would hear on the earpiece when calling a particular phone which is programmed to do this. This is usually bought by the subscriber from his or her telephone service provider.

Expect more innovations in the ringtone industry. Although its popularity is not as big as the first quarter of the polyphonic ringtones’ boom in the late 1990’s the industry is still here and can never be beaten. There are new innovations every day. Recent famous artists have collaborated with telcos and third party providers (especially online stores) so that the latest songs on the Billboard chart will be available for download on your phone.

Third party providers like Mobango, Ringtone.com, Mobile17, FlyCell are some good websites to visit if you want to download quality ringtones. Telephone companies like Verizon, Sprint, Nextel, AT&T, Boost and others also provide ringtones for download.
